Prithvi Shaw smashed a 61-ball 134 for Mumbai against Assam in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy at Saurashtra Cricket Stadium in Rajkot on Friday. He completed his century in just 46 balls. His maiden ton during the first inning powered Mumbai to win the match by 61 runs.
Leading to Mumbai, The 22-year-old wicket-keeper batter stitched a 114-run partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal (42 off 30 balls) for the second wicket. He further scored 51-run in a partnership with Sarfraz Khan (15 off 15 balls) for the third wicket. With the help of Shaw’s 134 Mumbai posted a target of 230/3 in 20 overs. For Assam, Riyan Parag, Roshan, and Rajjakuddin took one wicket each.
While chasing, Assam succumbed before Mumbai’s bowlers as they only managed 169/10 in 19.3 overs. Tushar Deshpande of Mumbai took three wickets, while Aman Hakim, Tanush, and Shams Mulani got two wickets each. From the Assam side, All-rounder Rajjakuddin Ahmed (39 off 26 balls) scored the most.
